Speed riding - Where to practise?

According to your level, you will be able to try speed riding in various ski resorts in the Northern Alps thanks to the Skieo team's mobility.

For practicality and safety, group training courses for speed riding take place in the same resort in winter: La Clusaz in Haute Savoie, near Annecy.

Private speed riding lessons  are available in Northern Alps ski resorts, including Chamonix, Les Arcs, Tignes and La Clusaz.

If you are a beginner, we will need to make sure that a learning slope is available in your resort. In the unlikely event that one is not available, we will advise on the closest ski resort that has an area suitable for you to practice.

Private lessons can accommodate up to 4 pupils, and it's you who sets up your group.

Training levels

We'd like you to discover speed riding in La Clusaz, a ski resort in the Aravis mountain range, close to Annecy, and an ideal for practicing speed riding and progressing in full safety.

The different peaks of La Clusaz provide several places for speed riding students:

Beginners will particularly appreciate the Laquais piste on the l'Etale peak. This soft slope lets you discover, with maximum safety, the joys of a first descent in speed riding.

Intermediates can progress at l'Aiguille, where a steeper and more uneven slope enables your skis to leave the piste. Here, you will accomplish your first big flights, giving you confidence and experience, and your instructor can validate your advancement.

More-experienced pilots can speed ride at La Balme. Being able to control the wing and having a good knowledge of the rules of practice is necessary. Once this technical knowledge and theory is validated by your instructors, you will be able to express yourself through speed riding on this vast area of off-piste in the resort!

Independent lessons

Although Skieo is based in La Clusaz in winter, our instructors have a thorough knowledge of most resorts in the Northern Alps. So, if you prefer a different resort in the area, Skieo, the flexible winter sports school, can offer a programme adapted to your wishes.
